I have not used Puppy, so not sure what package manager it uses (or if it is based on stripped down Ubuntu or could use Debian packages). Although, Netflix is supposed to also be able to do HTML5, which Firefox should be able to do and I set as a preference on Netflix website, it still does not recognize Linux browsers. So if you use pipelight, you may still need to alter what your browser identifies itself as so Netflix thinks it is Windows.
I have successfully used Netflix in Ubuntu by installing netflix-desktop package which installs a special version of wine to be able to use Microsoft Silverlight and Mozilla browser called gecko as an Internet Explorer substitute. Although, maybe wine uses video indirectly (like a virtual machine) because the Netflix resolution never seems to be as good as using Firefox with flash for Hulu Plus. So you may get better results for Netflix by using a BluRay player or Smart TV that can do it.

Netflix requires the use of Silverlight (which now even Microsoft itself pretty much abandoned). The only way to have it run is use Pipelight and possibly may require the use of Wine in order to have a Windows version of your browser you wish to have Netflix on.
Until Netflix decides to use HTML5 interfaces and be able to work with content licensors/creators and browser devs to work out the details regarding DRM (yes, the dreaded thing's still around), there won't be an easy workaround to get Netflix on your Puppy Linux (or any other GNU/Linux distribution) install.
