I have Computer A (Windows XP) and Computer B (Linux 9.10). What would be the best way to transfer files from A to B? I'm new to linux, so don't be too harsh.. :P
Thanks!

The easiest and most secure way is to transfer the files from A to B using SFTP or SCP.
On the Linux PC, install OpenSSH if it is not already installed.
On the Windows PC, get something like WinSCP (it's free: http://winscp.net/eng/index.php).
Use WinSCP to connect to the Linux PC using your Linux login and upload your files.
Since you said "Linux 9.10", I assume you are using Ubuntu or one of its derivatives. Ubuntu has built in support to see Windows file shares. So another way would be to share the folder on the Windows PC, then connect to it on the Linux PC and grab the files.

I don't know very much about linux either but you will have to buy an external hard drive either way because to transfer over a network you have to make the files go through a storage device or you can just put the files on the external H.D. and transfer.

Download teamviewer software and installed in both system then transfer files...
