Try going to Start > Run > type cmd > type ipconfig /flushdns

Does that give you the same error?

It should be the same problem you had previously cause its the same command used during repairing.

My next step would be to power off your Internet Modem for 10 to 20 seconds and reboot your computer and see where it gets you.

DNS or Domain Name System is a method used to translate device names or addresses eg. www.microsoft.com into its IP address. The DNS cache is a storage pool for the DNS addresses your computer uses, however im not sure what problem your having and wether the DNS resolver cache would come in to it.

If you would like to clean the dns cache, go to start > run > type "cmd" > type "ipconfig /flushdns". This will manually purge the DNS resolver cache

A dns cache is a file used by your computer to resolve addresses of computers on the internet.

usually called hosts or lmhost file, this file contains names of domains or computers, and its ip address.

Why would you use a DNS cache file.

When you want to speed up dns resolution or you want to substitute the actual dns name by some other ip address when there are domain conflicts.
