I have two questions to ask. Still new to the network field and would like to learn some information about these two questions. Answer as they are. (please do not mix the information together). It would make more scents to me.

Question #1: Factors that might limit the widespread adoption of wireless networks despite the obvious benefits of the technology. How might these limitations be overcome?

Question #2: The IEEE sets standards for all cabling in the US. Consider and discuss the issues the developers of a new physical data communications medium have to resolve in ensure interoperability with the existing upper-layer TCP/IP protocols.

These sound suspiciously close to homework questions.

However, since they should be pretty obvious, I'll throw you a bone anyway.

1) Never going to be as fast or secure as a dedicated wired connection.

Range and reliability are also factors.

I'd rather run multimode SX fiber for up to 550 meters at 1gbps than try to piece together an erratic network susceptible to interference and outside attacks.

2) You may find a way to increase data speed exponentially, but if this involves going away from the current standards, your technology will be very slow if it even adopts at all. All other layers depend on the bottom layers. If you change one of the basic function of the lower layers, the upper layers will cease to function.

for the first question the problem with wireless is it's easy to hack or it's not as secure as wired networks. it also has a limited range but with wimax that might change. i don't know if bandwidth is a factor because i don't know if there are any limits. speed may be a factor. so if they make it more secure and give it a longer range, make it faster and allow more bandwidth it would be great. i don't know about the 2nd question.

Hi these two questions are exam questions asked during a ccna exam.

and as such i will not give you an answer as it is up to you to find out what the answers are.
