TP-Link TD-W8968 or D Link DSL-2750u?

Question

I'm from India and I want to buy new wireless router with modem and shortlisted these two:

TP-Link TD-W8968

D Link DSL-2750u

I searched a lot but didn't manage to come on conclusion which one to go for. I heard TD-W8968 is very fast and robust in performance but heats a lot and it has some durability/reliability issues, people saying it starts misbehaving and stops working after certain period. And they have pathetic after sales service.

About Dlink DSL-2750u I heard that it lacks in performance when it comes to wifi range. Very poor wifi range.

Anyone who have used these products for long time please share their experiences. Are above things are real or not.

I can live with somewhat lesser/poorer wifi range but I can't afford new router every 6 months or so.
Is Dlink's wifi range is that bad?

My requirements are:
I will use the router/modem 18 of 24 hours so it has to be best in durability.

I have a Dlink and it is about 6-8 years old. It has never failed me and it reaches all around my house in 5 bars. If you connect alot of devices to a netgear it does tend to overheat and you have to modify it to still get good peformance. I would get the Dlink router if I were you. I have both netgear and Dlink so I know the diffrence.

I own the DLink modem you're debating with and I've never had it overheat on me. Though I do not have the other modem you're talking about but I have it's sibling I guess you can say, it's the TP-Link W8951ND and it's quite good too.
