k so for a while now my internet's been a bit dodgy. Never really noticed it since my mozilla's fine but anything else can't seem to connect to the internet. Everything from IE8 to yahoo messenger comes up dry.I tried troubleshooting it with YM and apparently there's a possible problem with my http connection. However it offers little to no help on fixing it. I do, however have the scan log from Y!M if it's of any help:

I am on a laptop and am using a wireless connection to which i tried to reconnect but the problem's still there. There's a second computer using it and there're no problems there. Please help!

Check your proxy settings. You probably had some malware that changes those settings, then removed the malware but left the settings. Mozilla has its own proxy settings, so it's not affected. But IE and Yahoo use the system proxy settings.

You can get to the proxy settings from the Control Panel. Select 'Internet Options'. Then select the 'Connections' tab. The select the 'LAN settings' box. Then uncheck the 'Use a proxy' box. The click OK twice.

That Ip is for:

CustName: Dallas Independent School District

Address: 2701 W. 15th St.

Address: PMB 236

City: Plano

StateProv: TX

PostalCode: 75075

Country: US

So I suspect that computer has the school's proxy set in it. Clear the proxy settings and you should have normal use at home.
