i stay inmumbai and i want to open a cybercafe(6 compuers) in mumbai....
need sugesstons on the choice of :-
ISP
router
switch
s/w for billing, login and time recordding...

with estemated cost involved....

Plzz dont give me one word or one line answers....
also dont tell me to hire some professionals...
i want to do it on my own...i m a network engineer...

Straight answer

ISP -> MTNL/Bharti

Router -> Cisco (but yo dont require it for 6 computers)

Switch-> D.Link (8 Port or 16 Port)

S/w -> you have to check for local vendor, or you can contact Saar technologies, [e-mail].



Estimated cost-> ISP (1000.00 for setting up and 995 monthly rental)

Router->Cisco (58,000.00+Tax)

Switch(800 for 8 port and 1300 for 16 Port)

S/w cost (20K apprx.)

if you wanna to purchase computers it will cost you apprx 13000 to 14000 for celeron assembled with asus intel chpset, 80GB, KB, MOUSE, CABINET, FDD.

Ups cost Rs. 1650 each.

So your setting up cost would be.

ISP 2000.00

Switch(8port) 800.00

Computers(6) 81000.00 (13500 each)

UPS 9900.00 (1650*6)

S/w 20000.00
