I have a user that is on a laptop and not a part of our domain, I also have a user that is a member of the domain and has a shared printer on her computer, other domain computers can print to her printer but I can not get the laptop to print to her computer. Any ideas?

If the printer has an IP address, you can create an IP port on the non-domain computer.

START-->SETTINGS-->PRINTERS-->ADD PRINTER

select Locally attached printer- and click next

On the Select A Printer Port window, select Create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP port.

Put the printer IP address in the Printer Name field

Select the proper driver for the printer.

You need to create a computer account in your domain for the laptop. If that is not an option you will need to transfer the files to removeable media and print them from a domain computer.

If the laptop is already a member of the domain then you just need to have the person with the shared printer grant permission to "everyone" or the specific user.

Set the security on her printer to allow anyone to print to it, and set the laptop to the same workgroup name. This is not a good way to operate, but is the only easy option.
