I want to connect 2 pc's ( located at different location) so that i can access both pc's from same location

I WANT TO CONNECT TWO PC'S (LOCATED AT DIFFERENT LOCATION) SO THAT I CAN ACCESS BOTH PC'S FROM SAME LOCATIO. MY BOTH PC'S ARE AT DIFFERENT LOCATIONS (BUT IN THE SAME CITY) BOTH ARE HAVING INTERNET CONNECTION.
I WANT TO ACCESS BOTH PC'S FROM BOTH PLACES
( I MEAN THAT I COULD ACCESS ONE PC AT ONE LOCATION & ALSO ACCESS OTHER PC FROM THE SAME LOCATION).
I TRIED REAL VNC IT WORKED BUT NOW ITS NOT WORKING.

First, connect them so that both can interchange data. you can test this by using any services or go to the comand line



(Windows: Start->Run: cmd [enter], Unix/KDE: [alt+f2] konsole [enter], other: please say what u're using)



Do this on both computers and you will see two comand lines. Type

(Windows: ipconfig, Unix: ifconfig)[enter] on both computers and you will see two outputs which state your IP addresses. Presumably, the ones you need will be 192.168.0.* with *=a number.



Now type ping (The other ip) [enter], i.e. ping 192.168.0.1[enter].

You will now see either an error message or some messages including a time, like "4ms". If the output doen't stop (using unix?), Type [Ctrl+C].

If there is an error, please report. Otherwise, your network works.



Now you have to initialize the server, the computer you want to connect to. There is a bunch of methods:



(KDE:) Built-in VNC, server accessible via [Alt+F2]kcontrol[enter]->Inter... Desktop Sharing, client via [Alt+F2]krdc[enter].

VNC: http://www.tightvnc.com/ or http://www.realvnc.com

Install server and client on both computers and start them.

(Windows built-in)

Activate remote desktop sharing here: Start->My Computer->Remote Desktop Sharing.

Press [Win+F1] to access the windows help. Search for a label "invite a friend or expert ..." and follow the assistant. You may select to send an invitation to your client computer.

Double click to this invitation.



Now enter the server's IP address click something like "connect" and you're done!

you probably have a dial-in network connection with changing ip-addresses.



you need a service like dyndns which keeps track of these changes automagically. than you have to look out that there is no firewall in place which blocks traffic to/from ports 5800-5805/5900-5905.



it should work fairly easy. please consider that the vnc traffic is not encrypted, and that using vnc, your machines are vulnerable to exploits for vnc service.



my adivce: google (sorry, yahoo of course) for a solution on how to encrypt the vnc traffic.

Have you considered the IP stayed the same? VNC/machine still on?

We use real vnc and it works great. You may have to check your router or firewall to make sure that nothing has changed and port 5900 is still open.

infect 1 pc with a TROJAN and remote it from the other pc...:)
