Which Version Of Window Server I should Learn?

Please help me this!
I am A beginner on the Path to become a administrator WINDOW SERVER.
I am wondering which version of Window SERVER should i Start with? Becase WINDOW SERVER 2003 is out of date, and Microsoft has just realese Version WINDOW SERVER 2012? Which Version is the best choose to a newbie like me? IS VERSion 2012 is the best choice in this time?

Yep, like JS said, try out Linux Servers, as they are the most frequently used. If you're still aiming for Microsoft, start with Windows Server 2008 or 2003. Windows server 2012 is essentially the same thing, so your skills will transfer over to 2012. And besides, there are already thousands of guides for Servers 2003 and 2008, while less than 100 for Server 2012.

Windows Server 2008 is the most used. Since 2012 has just been released it'll be a while before providers update their servers to it or give the option to use it.



2003 and 2008 don't have much in difference.

all, if your trying to learn how they work then you gotta know all. Knowing just one versions wont get you very long so i dont think it matters which one you start with really.

If you wanna get serious you should also learn how to administrate linux servers, as they are the most used.
