cable modems are nice but if everybody in your area starts downloading something at the same time then it will slow down a bit

a verizon line is dedicated and will never slow down or fade

and satellite is too slow

if you can get fios please do, its an amazing thing from verizon and a 50mb connection will cost 149$

Depending on your area, you could move up to a business-class service (as opposed to a consumer-class solution such as DSL or cable modem.)

Look to your local communication providers and see if you have options like T1 lines available. These options are pricy though!

You may also want to see if there is a local data center in your area. In this case you rent rack space and link speeds from the data center. You go to their site and install your servers. This has the nice benefit of the increased stability and uptime a dedicated data center can provide, as opposed to a home connection.

You may want to use a USB Broadband Wireless connection from Sprint, AT&T or Verizon. Whichever has the strongest signal in your area. I live in Hawaii and we have no cable or DSL in my area, These USB Broadband dongles are great.
