I have one pc with one monitor connected to it, but I also have a second monitor which I am not using. What I need is this:

1. To connect my second monitor to my computer.
2. To have a different web site on each monitor.
3. To be able to switch from one monitor to the other in order to inter-act with the web-site shown on that particular monitor.

I have a broadband modem, xp windows.
If you have a different idea on how to go about it, then please share it with me.

If you can help then you are a champion in my book.

What you need is to make sure your graphics card has dual out puts. The outputs depend on whether your graphics card/monitor uses VGA or DVI. These are the most commonly used in/out puts for monitors.

If you want two, make sure your graphics card has two outputs or you could buy one, and plug the monitor into the comp so you have 2 monitors plugged into the graphics card. Then go to Desktop and right click-properties. Then click on the settings tab and click on the number 2 screen and tick the box "extend to my windows" or something like that. Then open a new internet webpage and make sure its in windowed mode and drag it accross to the other monitor, and now you have to webpages (if you open another one on your default monitor)

Hope this helped,

You need two monitor VGA outputs on your PC. Once both are connected you can choose to extend the desktop onto the second monitor (the mouse will keep moving from the first onto the second). Then you just maximize two instances of your web browser, one on each monitor.

1. connect your second monitor to the pc and configure the desktop as extended (not as clone) in Catalyst or NView

2. open Opera (browser window not maximized) and go to the first site; click New tab and search there for the second site; when you have found it RIGHT CLICK on the link and click on Open in New Window. Drag the new browser window to the second monitor. Maximize both windows.

3. move the mouse where you want to interact with it.

Go to control panel/display/settings and then set your multiple monitor setting. you should be able to get more detailed instructions about multiple monitors through your computers help index. Or try to google multiple monitors.
