I have a couple of networking questions?

I have a couple of networking questions, I hope someone can help.

I have a small business with 2 offices a mile apart.....The are not networked,......I wish to join both of them up with a server in the the main office......which has 8 computers, the other office has 6 computers........I ws thinking of installing a small server in the main office...but feel I need to join both offices together for the sharing of information.....Anyone got any advice.......Plus what is the best way way to create backups.......thanks in advance

yes....you can create a web page and host it on your server and get a internet provider to connect it to the other office dose not mater were it is and then you can do any thing within the server
