Question:
Exchange Server E-mail Privacy Question?

I am currently on a corporate Exchange server. I am grabbing my work e-mails via this server and syncing my outlook to my blackberry. I grab my other e-mails via pop/smtp, but they go to my outlook inbox and are automatically synced with my corporate exchange server. I don't want my personal e-mails to be shared with my work e-mails.

I have administrator access as this is my personal computer that I use for work.

Just use a different account for your personal messages. ie: one that doesn't go through your company's exchange server.

You can set up a separate profile (Control Panel - Mail - Show Profiles) in Outlook for POP access and have your emails go into a PST.

If the other server also supports IMAP then you can add it the profile that has Exchange (In Outlook - Tools - Email Accounts).

Or you can use a separate mail client.

Presumably you have two Outlook accounts already if you're grabbing personal emails using Outlook. If so, just make it so Outlook doesn't deliver your personal emails to the Exchange account's Inbox. Each Outlook version is different, but look in your accounts settings for something like "email account delivers new email messages to the following location" and create your own .pst file for storage.

I have all of the above and use Claws Mail, an email client for all of them. Supports PGP for secure email if you need it.
