Two monitors, Two keyboards/mouse. One Tower.
Could the two users say.. Log on.
Two different accounts on the same computer tower AT the same time?
Possible?
Now I know you would need a second mouse/keyboard hook ups.
and probably a graphic card for a monitor.

I know how to do this by having the screens be identical as well as the keyboard/mouse. But that wouldn't really solve the problem of the two different people same time factor.

Yes you can do this, but only on a Linux based system. Neither Windows or Mac systems support this.

You would have 2 XOrg configuration files, with the device ID explicitly set for each keyboard/screen/video card. Its quite a difficult thing to do however and you would be very familiar with how the XOrg config works. As well as generally competent with Linux. Each user however would get an entirely independent session.

For a Linux machine, you can connect a terminal (or PC running terminal emulation software) to one of the COM ports and use it as a dumb terminal.

For Windows PCs, I have come across a product that allows you to do just that.

It is a adapter card that plugs into the PC, and you can connect a second set of monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

Thus, two users can simultaneously use the PC running the applications or using the internet.

Don't know whether the product is still available.
