Everybody said that Skype is safe, so I tried it, but my stalkers were able to listen to my chat. And I guess this is possible due to wifi sniffing. Correct me if I am wrong.

Your machine has been compromised, as well as your WiFi. You need to ensure your WiFi is using WPA/WPA2 with ASE encryption, as well as a password that's is fairly long and 100% random (avoid using any dates, names or anything related to you or loved ones in your password). Avoid Vonage, they are a VOIP service (voice over IP) and an amateur hacker can get in and cause issues from intercepting calls to even stoping anything from going in or out, you should resort back to a regular landline, or avoid a homophone entirely. Adrian is an idiot so just disregard what he has said. Also I would do a full clean reinstall of your Operating System on your computer, while you reinstall ensure you do a FULL format in order to write over ALL existing files (since he may have something installed to maintain access). You WILL need to purchase a Windows installation DVD in order to do this, and those can get pricy, but it's the ONLY way to ensure that nothing is ;let on the system to allow for future access (you should do the reinstall AFTER you change your WiFi security to WPA/WPA2, and during the installation do NOT connect the computer to the network, anything it may need from online during this process can be done AFTER the reinstall is complete). Lastly if you're savvy enough, and can identify odd traffic across your network Wireshark will show all incoming and outgoing packets to the network, and give the police PROOF you've been hacked! I hope this has helped, and that you can regain your online security!

If you overheard a conversation, then you possibly got the wrong end of the stick - how much of the conversation did you hear, were there other distractions going on that could have made what she said seem odd etc. If she stays in a flat, then I would expect it would be in a block of flats. Most blocks of flats have a back door - to allow access to drying greens etc. Maybe this is what she was referring to? Some of the people in the block of flats mey well refer to this door as 'my back door' despite it being shared by all. Maybe she didn't want to worry you, especially if the incident had nothing to do with her and it was an isolated incident and not part of a routine thing for her area.

You have multiple stalkers? Have you contacted the police and filed complaints? Have you filed restraining orders?

How do you know they are monitoring you?

There are many was to monitor people. Without knowing anything about you it's impossible to know the method used. If I want to monitor someone, unless they have skills or are under protection I have no problems. But I have been at it over 25 years.

Most people who think they are being stalked, aren't. And when they are it is by people they know well.

No way they can "listen" to your wifi, though high end technology could (ie government spy agencies). No way anyone can listen in on your cell phone....

Wiretapping any phone, whether Vonage or landline, is only legal with a court order... No "normal" person can do that.

Unfortunately, I smell a troll here....

If your wifi router is set for WPA encryption, people shouldn't be able to sniff it that way. You say that people are eavesdropping on you in so many ways, it sounds like you may be having paranoid delusions.

Skype is encrypted. Take your concerns to Microsoft.
