If they are both Windows XP, then right click on My Computer, select Properties, go under the REMOTE tab, under the Remote Desktop area, check the "Allow User to Connect Remotely".
On the other PC, Go under Start, All Programs, Accessories, Communications, and select the Remote Desktop Client, type in the IP address of the first PC, login, and enjoy working on the other PC.
This is Microsoft's built-in remote desktop function. Make sure you keep you security patches up to date.

A swap passes the IP handle nonetheless, so the modem, which could in ordinary terms artwork with one handle at a time, shuts the different pc out. wish that enables

Connect each computer to a router and set them up to share resources on a network.
You could try getting a peice of twisted pair ethernet cable and connect them directly to each computer, but that may not necessarily work.
