Hi everyone, i have bought a VPN "pptp" when i configure it, enter password, username....It dosen't connect, it just says "Connecting" and then gives and error: *A connection could not be established to the PPP server. Try reconnecting. If the problem continues, verify your settings and contact your Administrator*.

It keeps telling me the same thing!
But i am sure the VPN is good and my MacBook is perfect because this vpn works in other houses and other wifi connections, Only my wifi connection is like this. It works everywhere except my house.

Please Help Me :(
I went to an apple store and they told me to get a better network. They even tested the VPN with their connection in the apple store and it worked as if it was always perfect, in one second, it connected.

Now i have a question: How can i connect to this PPTP vpn in My House with the same Connection I have??

Information
--------
Connection Speed: 512
Connection Download Speed: 256
Connection Upload Speed: 128
Connection Company: Pars Online

*Do not tell me to try LT2P because i have and that is even worse, it connects for 20 seconds and suddenly just disconnects*

You need to use OpenVPN on the Macbook from a provider that understands how to run the VPN over the proper ports and configure it properly. I suggest looking at http://www.unspyable.com

Both PPTP and L2TP are old protocols and easily blocked. PPTP is also not secure a and can be compromised.

It's more likely that PPTP has been blocked by your ISP or your router.

To enable PPTP tunnels between individual host computers or entire networks that have a firewall between them, you must open the following ports:

1) TCP 1723.

2) Protocol ID 47 (GRE)

If you are sure that your router passes PPTP traffic, you have to either change your ISP or connect by OpenVPN that is far less likely to be blocked.

Hdmi to dvi hookup won't paintings considering the fact that the there is an incompatible selection between the two. i attempted this with a dvd participant and the 20 inch cinema show from my historic mac. does not paintings. i think the obstacle has to do with now not with the flexibility to upscale from dvi to hdmi yet which you will downscale from dvi to vga. What you like is a dvi-vga adapter assuming that your television has a vga enter.
