Is it working for both Cable Modem and PC (built-in TV tunner)?

I'll show you a little small map, that might help.

MAIN CABLE -Cable Splitter->
-1)TV
- 2)Cable Modem (landline phone)
- 3)Cable Modem (internet connetion)

Now I want to use 1 more Cable Splitter so divide the 3) Cable into 2 CABLES:
1)Cable Modem
2) TV tunner (of the computer).

Is the connection working in that way?

It is possible. But you want to remember that the more you split the connection the more dB loss you'll have. If you have other TV's in your house with cable connection you can assume that there is a splitter/amplifier already connected so you'd be behind 3 splitters. Amplification or not, your upstream signal will be at least -10 on top of any attenuation you'll have from the length of the coax and any splices in the line.

You shouldn't need two cable modems for internet and phone. Most Cable companies offer an embedded MTA that supports both internet and voip services. That may help in your need for multiple split lines. Bottom line, it may work... but you most likley will run into problems with signal.

FYI: most 2 way splitters have 3.5dB off each out port leg. 3 ways usually have one 3.5dB loss leg, and two 7.0dB loss leg. And you also want to look at the frequency ratings. You want at least 1.0Ghz rated splitter.

Yes this works but make sure that you use high quality splitters. When I had mine put in this is exactly how the cable company installed it. Each splitter adds some resistance so I would put in a 3 or 4 way splitter instead of cascading 2 way splitters. If you have a good signal cascading them may work OK but for a few bucks extra it may be worth the extra few bucks. Also you might want to consider splitting your computer TV tuner off the TV link instead of off your cable modem link. TV's are less sensitive to signal degradation.

yeah it should work but keep in mind you get some signal loss as you keep adding splitters to the line

....i would prob invest the 3 bucks in a single 4 way splitter from radio shack or your nearest electronics store.....if you have a situation where you don't want to run 2 seperate cables for a long distance to your puter then yeah just try out a split just before the puter and see if the picture quality is still decent.
