I'm a high school student. Sometimes I forget to print my homework, I get to school and I can't turn it in. My parents aren't very proficent, so asking them to find a file in a folder and emailing it to me is not a fesible solution.

So, I was wondering, is it possible to save all of my homework directly from Word into a special folder on my computer that can be accessed from the internet and my computer. The only catch is I can't install any software on the school computer's. Besides violating the tech contract, they disabled a lot of features such as as the command line. I also don't want to do anything that would look suspicious, is visting an IP adress, not a website constructed of letters supscious?

Any suggestions, or am I better off emailing everything to gMail each night?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I'm running Windows XP Pro on a Dell Laptop with a single hard drive of approx. 40 gigs.

In your situation, you are better off emailing yourself.

Well, there's a couple of ways to go about it.

The easiest would be to use Remote Desktop and and use Remote desktop client to connect to your computer at home. You can then log into your home computer from school and e-mail the file to yourself. The second way would be to set up the FTP service on your XP box at home. This will allow you to directly copy files to and from your home computer and any other computer connected to the Internet. There's plenty of information on how to set this up on the Internet.

For this you would need remote access. which is probably disabled on school computers. maybe you can e-mail the work to your self.I think you have about 250 megs storage space.set up a briefcase.on the net or something like that.

If it is possible for you, why not store that sort of thing on a jump drive tat you carry in your pocket Or on a chain around your neck. Do that with all your reports ad they will always be available.

Yesterday I saw a 1gigabyte for $17.99..Good luck
