Hi, I am having problems with my home network. My PC can connect to the internet, but my laptop cannot?

The signal strength says excellent yet it keeps saying unable to connect on my laptop. I am able to connect to all other networks in the area neighbors, etc. For some reason I can not connect to my own home connection via laptop. Again, my PC connects to the internet perfectly fine under the same connection. What could be wrong? How do i troubleshoot this?

THANKS

shut your computer off (not restart but shutdown)

pull power cords from modem and router

plug modem in first and wait for all lights to come back on

plug router in and wait for lights again

start computers

you must do it in a modem, router, computer resart order or it wont work.

99% of the time it fixes the issue.

I had the same problem as you, what you have to do if you have not done already is switch the wireless switch on untill you do this you will not connect.Have a look in your manual or look around the laptop to see if you can find it,on mine its show a radio mast with off and on.

Most likely you have a Trojan Virus. Trojans are very frustrating. You can

A. continue to try to use antivirus programs

or B. just install Linux and forget viruses forever.

Unistall the wireless configuration and reconfigure, there is some hardware confilct , that is the reason it is not working.

verify you firewall settings. you should showcase the firewall. also, pass to shared folders houses > Sharing tab > permission and confirm you provide permission to the customers that want to get top of entry to the record.
