What does "Unable to connect to the remote server" mean?

Whenever I try to download Need for Speed World, it fails. So one time, I searched "Need for Speed World" in the search box and an item called "trace" appeared. I clicked it and scrolled down and it said: Unable to connect to the remote server --->
System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: The attempted operation is not supported for the type of object referenced
at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.get_ConnectEx()
at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.BeginConnectEx(EndPoint remoteEP, Boolean flowContext, AsyncCallback callback, Object state)

at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.EndGetResponse(IAsyncResult asyncResult)
at System.Net.WebClient.GetWebResponse(WebRequest request, IAsyncResult result)

I didn't get it. What is the remote server and all of this?

Post the URL you are attempting to connect

=

- http://world.needforspeed.com/intro

- http://world.needforspeed.com/

- http://need-for-speed-world.en.softonic.com/download

- http://freebiesbuzz.com/free-game-download-need-for-speed-world/

- Then others can test and troubleshoot the connection.

The location where the file you were wanting to access is not available. Basically the link you clicked is dead.
