Problem with utorrent port forwarding ?

I tested my port on utorrent client, and it said "Port is not open (and you are still able to download)" because I saw my connection get slower . I don't understand, I did do everything they say on the web site portforwarding(dot)com, some how, it didn't work. The weird thing is, when I entered the port in utorrent client, it said the port isn't open, but I entered the same port to the canyouseeme(dot)org, it said "Success: I can see your service on 118.xx.xxx.xxx on port (n)
Your ISP is not blocking port 76", but when I entered the other ports to that web, it said : "
Error: I could not see your service on 118.xx.xxx.xxx on port (n+1)
Reason: Connection refused " . Somebody please explain me the problem and help me with the solution !

Here's what you need to do:

1. Make your IP Address Static> go to Network & Sharing Center, then click manage network connection in the left panel. Right click on your network adapter your using and select properties; select TCIP ipv4 and click properties. Click the radio button "Choose manual address". For your default gateway make it what ever your routers ip address is (like 192.168.1.1). The subnet most likely is 255.255.255.0, choose an ip address close to you default gateway ip (you could use 192.168.1.15).



2- pick a proper port number for uTorrent (1-1023 are reserved)



3- Take the port number you chose and go on your router config page (open web browser n go to possibly "192.168.1.1" depends on router) and forward the port you chose to the ip address you assigned earlier. Theres easy guides to follow for this, just google port forwarding. Select your router you have and the application you wish to forward (uTorrent) be sure to use the port you chose not the one in the guide.

First off only use a port over 1001. Say 7983, just to pick a number.

Use portforward dot com to register that number.



2. In utorrent, also ascertain that the same port number is in Options/ preferences/ connection/ listening port. Press apply and restart utorrent.
