I cant connect to the internet with my laptop...HELP!!!?

Question

I have a wireless network in my house set up through linksys. I have Comcast cable internet. My fiance's laptop connects to the internet just fine. However mine does not.

My WLAN is set to on and the little icon on the toolbar says that I am connected to my network with an excellent connection, however, when I click on internet explorer, it says page connot be displayed. It wont let me actually go online.

I tried Netscape Navigator also to see if that would work but it didnt either.

I also tried to do a system restore several times with several different dates but my laptop wont let me do that either. It says "system cannot be restored to this date, please try another date" but no matter which date I use, it wont work.

Any one have any ideas of what I can do or if anyone can help me please. I tried calling technical support and was on the phone with them for two hours troubleshooting it and it still didnt work.

I had the same problem... but with bellsouth internet. I took my computer to best buy's geek squad and they said that I needed a new motherboard. So I gave em my computer and they fixed it and now it works.
