Your ISP (internet service provider) assigns your IP.

Your router inside your house is a separte network from the internet so it can have any IP you want. With that said websites only see the IP address the ISP gives you unless you use a proxy.

If you use a proxy read up about different ones. You don't want to open yourself up to pandoros box.

Ah! We cant tell you how to get into something you were banned from. Anyway, do you have a static IP address and are you on dialup or high speed?

Edit: There are many other ways other than proxies. Many proxies are located in countries where IP laws are not strictly enforced, thus your connection to the chat server would be very slow.

Edit again: If you have a static IP address (static external IP address) You cannot change it without contacting your ISP under normal circumstances. However you can if your ISP provided you some means of changing your IP address.

If you have a dynamic IP, then all you have to do is disconnect the modem (whether it is DSL, cable, dialup, etc) and you will get a new IP address.

I STRONGLY advise against evading bans, as I have been an administrator of chat rooms in the past and you will likely be kicked and banned AGAIN. If you keep it up, you may have your entire region banned.

two ways

1) unplug your modem box from the isp overnight

either install a new network card ( pci if desktop , can use usb etc)

or get a router

plug in everything

reboot

the dhcp service ( hands out ips on the isp network) will think that it is a brand new device on its network and hand out a new ip for you

If you are using a router ( good idea for you) you can change the mac adress of the router by going into mac adress clone

You can change the mac address to anything you want to change you ip

You may be able to get away with less time your modem is off. It is all trial and error

Even if you do change your IP address, it will still be in the same range for your ISP and the channel operators will see this and ban that other IP address as well -- in not all addresses for your ISP.

Best bet is to stop being a jerk in chat and wait for your ban to expire.

Your public ip address is allocated by your ISP on a dynamic basis, it changes at times set by them. If you manually change it you will lose connection, as it won't match your ISPs allocation. Also they can turn off your service for this as it is illegal. Sites also keep other records of other identifiers from the machine to prevent a changed address from letting you in.

If you have a dynamic IP Address, which means you get a new one every time you connect, it is as easy as turning your PC off and then on.

If you IP Address is static, you will have to go to your router settings, by either typing in your current IP Address in the url bar in your internet browser, or go to "Manage Network Connections" through control panel.

THere is two type of IP address.

Static and dynamic

Dyanmic:It change automatically when you restart your pc every time.

Static IP address can be change from Network Setting in control panel and then select TCP/IP and then click on properties and then you can change your PC ip.

Good luck

The only way is to use a proxy. Go find a list of proxies that works, go to your browser settings, there is a tab for setting your proxy settings. Input in whatever your proxy's IP is.

Changing an IP address can often be forced by releasing and renewing your connection (via your router admin panel)

Using a proxy is simple, but for a connection oriented service like chat you will most likely need SOCKS4 or SOCKS5.

Most IRC hosts will detect a proxy and kick you.
