Hi I want to know how I can set up my home internet connection as a proxy so that one of my friends can access it.

That is he can type in the IP address and Port into his browsers proxy settings, so that he can access connections with a website through my IP address.

I am not looking for how to use a proxy server through a browser. I'm looking for information on how to set up my connection so that a friend can type in MY network settings and filter data through MY connection with a proxy. Basically so it looks like he is browsing the net from my address.

Thank you in advance.

You'll have to set up some firewall ports to redirect ports from your router to your PC.

Also if you're on a dynamic IP from your ISP you will have to probably set up a dynamic DNS service too.

Try the software below, I've used it before and it works ok for a small number of users.

seem at it and say, "you're a server." this is it. there is not any distinction, it extremely is in basic terms a term to advise that it has extra RAM or swifter processors, yet Microsoft's internet site says that the minimum pc standards to run their server utility is below 80% of the pc bought as we communicate as abode computers! advertising and marketing, are you able to suspect it? i assume as quickly as you install server utility it while it technically turns right into a "server".

Aloha comrade. Right way to unblock web pages and browse anonymously is making use of a VPN provider. I really advise http://www.vpnmaster.com

you need a server operating system e.g. windows server 2008/2003, with DNS role installed and a public IP address directly connected to a router
