Ok for a start 'Wesley A' is wrong. While changing your network interface card does change your MAC address, you can also manually set it in windows. See: http://www.nthelp.com/NT6/change_mac_w2k.htm

To answer your question ISP's do not track what traffic goes to a specific MAC. They can however track what information was sent to their IP addresses that are leased to their device they have registered to you, i.e. cable modem, DSL, etc.

No point in changing the MAC. Your ISP assigns an IP to the modem they supply, and that modem's MAC is registered as your service (customer). They can always trace any traffic to your house. Which PC does the download, they don't care, and neither do the cops. If there is any raid on the house for some illegal activity, they seize ALL the computers, disks, and network gear.

Your ISP always has a log of your activity. Changing things on your home LAN side does not affect the logs. Even changing the router does not change anything, other than their logs may show their modem is talking to a different device - but still in your home....

I suggest this service: http://phonedetectives.co - The best reverse cell phone lookup service.

It's a cheap service that works great! It could be used for a much deeper search. You can use it to get hold of different varieties of background reports, and in addition cell numbers, addresses and names.. you can get unlimited reports... I ran with this because I required to verify more numbers.

You can get the name, other phone number, address history, relatives, and much more about anyone! The completly free reverse phone lookup generally doesn't provide anything interesting. To get interesting information, money will must be paid. The free searches don't provide considerably more than what may be found through the phone directory or personal information and they simply require your email to send spam. The reverse phone detective search tool does work, but you should use just the service that I posted above. The last thing you want to do, is pay for a service and find the numbers you want to lookup are not available in their directory.

The service that I reccomend doesn't have any kind of problem , you won't get any bad surprise! Trust it!

Reverse Phone Lookup area gives you additional access to millions of public records, including:

+ Find out the source of a harassing ("prank") caller

+ Research a number that appeared on your phone bill

+ Locate an old friend from high school or college

+ Research "missed calls" on your caller ID that you don't recognize

+ Verify an address

+ And more...

changing a mac address identifies a specific computer to an isp so for the most part, yes you would probably fool them for a bit. However if your using YOUR internet connection that you pay for, rather than a local hot spot or something than I doubt they'd be fooled for long. BTW how the hell do u change a mac address? cause the only way I know of changing one is to buy and install a new network adapter, or change the virtual mac address in your router. Is there another way using software or something??

A reverse cell lookup service I have utilized is http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=538

Enter the number in the framework and they will let you know a great deal of informations about the telephone number and the person who claims it.

In the event that they have extra subtle elements you will need to pay for the report. If you need to reverse lookup one phone or area line telephone number you will be charged about $15 yet in the event that you have to reverse lookup more than one telephone or cell number you can get a years access to their database.

Free reverse telephone lookup destinations generally provide the most essential of information, for example, name and it works just for landlines. To get further information, cash will must be paid. The free searches don't provide considerably more than what might be found through the telephone directory.

The best thing is that you can get informations about anybody!! A reverse cell phone lookup service I have used is http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=538

Enter the number in the system and they will tell you a lot of informations about the phone number and the person who owns it. If they have extra details you will have to pay for the report. If you only want to reverse lookup one cell phone or land-line phone number you will be charged about $15 but if you need to reverse lookup more than one phone or cell phone number you can get a years access to their database. Free reverse phone lookup sites generally provide the most basic of information such as name and it works only for landlines. To get further information, money will have to be paid. The free searches do not provide much more than what can be found through the phone book. The best thing is that you can get informations about anyone!! for example your daughter's boyfriend or the boyfriend of your ex girlfriend or whoever you want!

First ... even if you use a proxy.. if your ISP really wants to track they would definatly we able to find it out .. using a proxy would add complexity to the tracking process.....however its not a solution.
