Please help, I've had Windows 7 ultimate or w/e the hell it's called, and it's driving me INSANE. I do NOT have a bootleg copy, yet the stupid WGA notification pops up relentlessly and drives me insane multiple times every hour, on top of crashing my internet (I'm almost positive it's doing it!) every single day now. It's been getting worse steadily and I need to rid myself of it forever, so I'm wondering if I can change to vista or some other operating system without too much hassle and keeping all my files in tact?? If so, PLEASE tell me how to do so!!

PLEASE DO NOT SAY to just disable/remove wga, I've tried EVERYTHING on this planet possible (trust me, EVERYTHING) and I think it can't be removed until I switch operating systems or something. Also don't tell me I can switch to another system by having to back up my files, I do NOT need that time consuming work right now, my other laptop just crashed and I had to spend an entire day backing up THOSE files, so I'm pretty much tired of backing up files for a damn while now.

Please just tell me if I can change operating systems easily without much hassle or not. Thanks a million.

There is a way to install windows and still retain your data files.

This is not foolproff; occassionally the data files do get corrupted, deleted, or locked out.

ALWAYS back your important data files before making any major changes to your system.

Do not depend upon everything going smoothly - copy your data files to CDs or DVDs.

If you have the key code for your operating system, contact Microsoft to have the problem resolved.

It might actually be easier to fix your actual problem.

Click on the link in post #2

This is a direct link to the Microsoft Fix for the infamous "Build 7601 your

windows might not be Genuine" error.

And if the suggestion above doesn't work you can message or e-mail me and

I'll try to talk you through some other possibilities

Good Luck!

YES!!!! You can absolutely do that! Just burn/download it to a burnable disk or Flash drive. You can find these both at Walmart or Best Buy for under $20.

Good Luck.

You can not go backwards and keep your files, you will have to back them up manually on your flash drive or another media.
