Question:
Internet on the go?

Ok, so my boss is taking a business trip to Hawaii and wants me to find a way for him to connect to the internet wherever he is. I suggested hotspots like at the hotel he's staying at or a coffee shop, apparently that's not good enough.

Perhaps there's a PC card you can put in a laptop that would connect to the internet somehow? Anyone ever hear of such a thing or any other possibilities? And I don't mean a wireless card that would connect to a router.

Thanks.

Talk to your local cell phone provider. They make a card that slides in the pcmcia slot of a laptop. It lets a laptop connect to the net using cell phone technology. Be prepared for a $60/month bill that goes with it.

AT&T if that is your ISP has a thing called a back up dial...and if he has AT&T then he can go anywhere and just dial into the number they give him and have internet and it wont cost him anything because it is a service provided by them for the CU's. However if he is speaking in only wanting to be Wireless than he would really only have the option on hotspots..
