My sons xbox is upstairs using the wireless adapter and when i've been on it there is no difference to having it downstairs using the wire.Just make sure you set it up properly at first. My wireless router is a Belkin.

If you have a look about online at currys, dixons and comet things like that you might get the wireless adapter and a year on xbox live gold for around £75 so when your subscription runs out you already have the next years ready and you would have only paid about £15 for it.

I have a netgear wireless router downstairs and my son has the xbox wireless adapter in his room upstairs and his works just fine.

you're able to get the wireless adapter one after the different. this is not risk-free with any of the 360s. you do no longer inevitably prefer the wireless adapter to play on XBL. you purely prefer it in case you opt for a instant connection.
