My internet is slow and lately it takes twice to even get a page started up. Just a few minutes ago it started saying that the links i use everyday were broken and it was due to a DNS error. What do i do?

go to control panel, network conections, and choose your local area or wireless connection, than right click it and go to properties.

Scroll down, double click TCP/IP (v4) and than on this next page, on the bottom section, change your DNS server from automatic to 4.2.2.1.

This will force your DNS inquiries to change from your local router, or Internet service provider DNS servers, to go to a widely used public DNS server.

That is just a symptom...the DNS error is poping up because you can't reach a DNS server. The problem is a bad internet connection in general.

Reset all of your devices, if it persists, call your Internet provider.

If it's just your computer, sounds like you may have a bunch of spyware junk on it. I'd re-install and start over....easier than trying to remove all the junk.

go to start, run and type in cmd. In command prompt type ipconfig /flushdns and than type ipconfig /registerdns

If that does not work type in ipconfig /release than ipconfig /renew

If it is still giving you trouble go back of your modem or router and reset it by pushing the small reset button back of the components. that will do the trick!
