I've just recently been have connection issues. I use Xfinity (Comcast), and have no problem connecting to Xbox Live, watching NetFlix, ect... I only encounter this problem when I play games or join parties. I have a 5 bar connecting (I use wireless), but when I start up a game, it drops down, and lags like crazy. It's un playable, and drives me crazy. I used to have a different type of Router, but Comcast came and replaced because it got old and my connection was getting inturupted, but this was a while ago. Back then with that Router I had a different ipv4 (I think) for the Router, it was some like 192.168.xxx and with the new Xfinity one, that looks much different, it's 10.0.0.xx (x's are numbers I can't remember). I've followed tutorials online for opening ports to open my NAT/Port forwarding, setting my Xbox IP as my DMZ, everything... Will getting rid of the standard Xfinity Gateway, and getting a new Router & Modem fix this issue? Will it change the ipv4 from 10.0.0.1 to a 192.168.xx.x?
