Try these:

1- Try to shorten the line and network as much as it is possible. that is to say, try to connect to your ISP as directly as possible. Try disabling all other devices on your network and try to get connected only using your DSL modem. No routers no other computers no nothing else. Only your DSL line, your DSL modem and finally your computer. See if that works. If that is the case, you should revise your network configuration.

2- Reset your DSL modem to its original setting, reconfigure it with your username and password, restart your computer, and try to get connected again.

3- Check your firewall(s), if there are any. Both hardware and software, if there exist any, and see how they are behaving.

4- Try updating your DSL modem's firmware.

5- Contact your DSL provider.

Good luck

we've our DSL modem plugged into the DSL clear out as nicely to the telephone because of the fact we've a telephone magnificent next to our modem. i don't be attentive to in case you have the two the telephone and modem linked to an analogous clear out or in case you have the telephone in yet another room. i'm quite particular that the modem ought to be linked to a clear out additionally. Ours has a image on it one with a splash telephone on it and the different port has a modem photograph for the modem container to be linked to it. i be attentive to while my mothers and fathers first have been given DSL we had problems with static on the lines and problems with the internet, there's a telephone line container on the outdoors of the abode and while the internet service got here out he had to re-twine the interior the container because of the fact it became into no longer connected magnificent and after that the telephone line cleared up and we did no longer have any problems with the internet. in addition they might might desire to put in a clean telephone container on the outdoors of the abode because of the fact the outdated on won't be any stable. If that does no longer paintings have them examine the interior the telephone outlet interior the abode, my pal's telephone outlet insides regarded distinctive then I had seen in the past it had greater wires then wide-spread, and that they've been having issues hastily with static on the lines and the service had to rewire slightly and after that it labored. i wish this might assist you out if no longer i'm sorry that I wasn't any help.
