an intranet is a private network or internet internal to a company or organization.
internet is the world wide web. many many computers and other devices interconnected with each other exchanging data. ex. the website you type in is, data is coming from another computer and your computer is just asking to display it on screen.
extranet is similar to intranet, as it is also a private network, but allows you to access the internet outside your organization or business. schools have extranets.

Internet is the world wide web - everyone can get onto it. Intranet is a private network that is contained within an organization that uses computers.
Extranet is the part of a company or organization's internal computer network which is available to outside users, for example, information services for customers.
