So I've been studying TOR networks for a bit now and I've decided that they would work for hiding my IP however I was wanting to know of some others that mask your IP while browsing on web browsers but also act as a VPN and change all your outgoing IP's if that makes sense. Like for example if I were to play a game that ran a client I would want to log into that game going through one of these proxy's. Does anyone have any suggestions and please give me some insight as to how good it's worked for you. Thanks!

Proxies don't tunnel your entire network connection so in essence you are not anonymous. Your true IP goes out over several protocols.

TOR is a great concept however it's flaws are that it's insanely slow and the question of the exit points being secure. There has been a lot of talk regarding the fact that since anyone can host a TOR server you are in the situation where people totally unknown to you are seeing your unencrypted data as it exits the network. If these people happen to be identity thieves or rouge governments that poses a problem.

Here's a discussion of anonymity put out by one of the VPN companies. It's got some good info.

You need a socks wrapper to use Tor with other applications besides webbrowsers but it is possible. With Linux people use proxychains. I'm not sure about windows, I think there's are programs called freecap and SocksChain available.

These tools can also be used to direct all of a single application's traffic through any other socks proxy or http proxy. There are vpn clients that will tunnel all your computer's traffic through a vpn but I've never used stuff like that so I don't really know sorry.
