I need a good, free, easy to use FTP server relatively soon since I'm not sure how much longer my computer is going to be working. Anyone know where i can download one? Thanks in advance :)

Dude, when the guy said FTP server, of course he meant the software!
And to answer the question, i guess you would have to specify on which platform are you going to be running it??
Well Win2K (server??) has it's own FTP server within IIS... I don't think it can be the best software out there, but it's a fine server and well, you already have it... If you have configured a website in IIS, then you will find configuring the FTP server similar...

One of the most well known FTP clients and FTP servers for Windows and other platforms are FileZilla.
FileZilla is of course open source, and "belongs" to the "Mozilla" family of software tools - same as Firefox browers.
Both packages are extremely easy to set up, and there is ample documentation, instructions, add-on and "skins" available online.

if you really need a good and free ftp s/w , then I can suggest you to use linux as the OS and download the vsftp (very secure ftp) package and install that . Configure it in vsftpd.conf file and restart the vsftpd service .
Thats all and you are ready to go
