I personally have dial-up and it sucks! However, I use computers w/ broadband on a regular basis. The difference is undescribable. I would highly recommend "broadband." In my opinion, cable is the cheaper option versus DSL. For one, cable companies install the whole thing, cheaply (usually under $100). DSL's equipment is well over $200 in most cases, and installation is solely up to you. Cable is usually faster. The only downfall w/ cable is if you don't have cable tv, most companies will charge you an add'l charge. Any other specific questions?

in the beginning i had the dial up connection. it did not worked well and the speed is low to the maximam extent u can able to achieve only 56 kbbs. now i am having broadband. here the speed is 100 kbs which is definitely impossible in dial up.

so i prefer u to have the broadband.

The most common ones are ADSL and Cable.
