BT Infinity will give you speeds of up to 38 Mbps download depending upon how close you are to the cabinet in the street and the quality of the line between your house and the cabinet. You could get up to about 10 time your current speed.

Hello,

With Fiber Optics, you can get speeds ranging from 50mbps to 100 mbps. But all depends on the package and money you are ready to spend.

BTW take a look at the following link to know what speeds are prevailing in different parts of the world

Fiber optic gives you the chance to buy a faster service. If you do not upgrade your service, you will still get 3.8mbps. If you upgrade, you can get much, much faster speeds. It all depends what speeds are offered, and what you decide to order (and pay for...)

Fibre optic, I'm guessing it's Virgin media being installed, then yes, they'll be able to offer speeds of up to 100Mb/s although Wifi will slow the connection speed down regardless, hardwire into you're router.
