A middle aged woman from Wales is using my email address to sign up to different websites buying clothes. I wouldn't mind it but i keep getting emails from websites saying her order has been placed. She's been doing it for a while now and I've closed down two accounts she's been using but now there's another one she's signed up to which i can't close down. Before anyone tries to mention making a bunch of orders, I won't be (although the way she's been splashing the cash she probably wouldn't notice). I can't email her cause apparently she doesn't have an email address, and if i leave it, I'll keep receiving emails from different websites. What can I do?

You have the details of the orders she has placed so you could get in contact with the businesses involved and tell them to tell her, via post, that her email address is invalid.

You could also log onto her account, remove the email address and change the password. Then she will have to phone up to sort it out and might realise what's happening

You could also add a gift message to the orders if free, "You are using the wrong email address, please change it!"

I have a middle aged guy using my email address...I just started marking everything with spam..I found out who it was by googling my email address..I change my password once a week now, ..Since marking everything for spam and changing my password I haven't got an email for him...IT would be nice if you actually contact yahoo directly, but no option to anymore.

are you using hotmail, as i had a similar experience the person even tried to sign up to facebook with it on. I changed the passwords eventually but the experience put me off using their email ever since as everytime i sign up for an account sometime similar happens as it seems that if you are a really light user microsoft pimps the email address to be reused (even if you still are) far faster than other providers.

First I'd change your password. Just to be on the safe side. Then, I'd just create another email address. There's not much you can do in this situation. It's a little odd that she doesn't care to receive order confirmations though. That was my reasoning behind changing your password.

How is it that she has managed to "randomly" enter THREE different email address that all happen to belong to you?

I tend to think like the earlier poster....is it your wife? If not it is obviously someone you know, BTW how do you know it is a middle-aged woman and not some dirty old man with a high heel fetish?

Set up a filter to send emails from the site to the trash.

Mark each email as spam and then it will block all emails from that address... Or better yet, block the email all together. But you need Gmail to do that. Why not contact Yahoo or Gmail (whichever you have) and tell them about it? They could probably help.

you should go to Wales, track her down and help her sign up for an email address of her own -- or change your password

If you have access to her accounts, you must have access to her physical address. Send her a good old-fashioned letter. On paper.

Do you know this woman? If so, tell her to stop, if not, I guess that you have to set up a new email address, good luck!! :-)
