The totally useful version is abode windows Server 2003. It helps Subdomains, different domain names, many protection communities and upto 40000 shoppers. Small corporation Server is a scaled down version of that. i can't provide you information approximately it, even though it particularly is often adequate for a small to medium sized employer.

That is exactly the way we do it. We block all user access to Windows Updates via group policy (users can't even go to the WU website). We use WSUS to control updates. Once the updates show up in WSUS, we can either approve or decline them using any criteria I want. You can have local PC's in one group, remote in another and approve the SP2 update only for the local users.

Block it via group policy. Make sure that you do not have automatic updates enabled on your network. The easier way would be to have a WSUS server running on any server, and controlling your updates through that management console.
