internet problem need fixing quickly!!!!!!?

Question

well first, my internet wasn't working so i reinstalled windows xp home edition
then when it reinstalled i went under control panel/network connections and nothing was there!!! no LAC nothing. and when i tried doing the create new network wizard. it said it couldnt' connect or find my modem. i use a linksys router. So my Local area connection icon is missing, and i can't access the internet. please help. i'm out of ideas.



ok when i look under device manager it shows
under modems - SOoftV92 Data Fax Modem with SmartCP
under ports - comunications port (com1) and and under other deices with yellow questionmark ethernet controller, multimedia audio controller, sm bus controller.

Under Network adaptors it shows - Diect Parrallel, WAN Miniport (IP), Wa miniport (IP- Packetscheduler miniport, wan miniport(L2TP), Wan Miniprt(PPOE), Wan miniport (TTP)
all the drivers tells me that its workng right but i'm not sure why 8im' not getting internet connection.
Also there is no connection under network connection I'm using Windows xp home edition.
aso when i go to ommanpromp and typer in ipcnfig it shos the following messages - Windows IP Configuarat

when i trie to make a connection. it goes through the wizard, first part ihave checked is "connect to the internet" 2nd step i chose "Choose form a list ofinternet service providers (ISPs). the tird and it shows me 2 internet srvrs but nto the1conect

you need to download the driver for your ethernet card first,from another computer onto a flash drive or cd and then install it on your computer..once you have an internet connection..windows will take care of the rest of the driver updates(in most cases)cheers
