Previously my laptops wifi had been working flawlessly. However about 4 days ago it began saying that it had Limited Access internet connection. I know its not my wifi, as my other laptop is able to recieve wifi. Now the question is, how can i fix this?

Btw i already reset my modem/wifi.

still not working...sorry for your trouble, have you changed anything with your firewall? -try disabling the firewall and then connecting. then re enable the firewall -or try from safemode w/networking which if successful would indicate a firewall issue.

have you tried changing the wireless channel in your router? -if its 6 try 11 or visa versa

you can try changing the security type in the router from wep to wpa

hope any of that helps ...If not and you don't get a better answer I will try to get one for you tomorrow

****Busy day today but trying to come up with a resolve ....If not already done/tried, is it possible for you to cable to the router and make sure you can connect that way? Also if you can connect, try updating your wireless NIC while your there..??

**just on a fluke ...make sure the physical switch didnt get turned off - some of those are located in very bad places/:

...also can go to device manager and disable and re enable, update the driver or *roll back the driver if updates caused the problem

***Can also uninstall the NIC & re install (from the device manager) - I don't know what operating system you are running so you may want to search for info on doing that or use your disk(?) to reinstall if needed

Go into command prompt and type ipconfig /release then ipconfig /flushdns, then ipconfig /renew. Also check the power properties of your wireless interface and make sure that the pc is not set to turn off the wireless to save power. Another thing you can do is check with the manufacturer of your wireless NIC to see if there is an updated driver. Do not go to windows update for drivers, you will end up with more problems than what you started with. If all else fails do a system restore.

Buy a cheap USB wireless adapter and try that on your laptop. Maybe the internal wifi adapter went bad.
