How can I make my download speed fast ?

Well my speed is 512 kbps, unfortunately I download a movie from Limewire It took me a week and Utorrent more worst its need 2 week.My download speed on limewire and Utorrent is abt 2,3 kb per second I have check all thing clean temp,cookies, refrag disk and scan spyware virus but I still unable to download fast
Please,can anyone teach me how can I make it download speed up to 50 kb or 100 kb ? I'm using dsl, one ram 250 gb hard disk..

you have to set your computer firewall to make Limewire an exeption to the firewall so it'll be quicker
