Hi, I have 2 routers on my network, one wired and one wireless, and I simply want to disable the DHCP on the wireless router and use it as a repeater (and also a switch and wireless access point). How do you go about disabling the DHCP on a Linksys router (WRT160Nv2?)

Here's how I'd do it on my Linksys WRT54G:

1. Log into the router's administration pages.

2. Click the Setup page.

3. On the Basic Setup tab, click Disable for the DHCP Server option down under Network Setup.

4. Click the Save Settings button at the bottom of the page.

Hope that helps.

On my Linksys, its on the very first screen you see after logging into the router. Enable or Disable DHCP, and the DHCP score. Midway down...

i think of which you have misdiagnosed the issue. in spite of in case you have the DHCP service disabled, you could assign static IPs outdoors of the variety of addresses used with the aid of the DHCP server. It seems such as you have yet another issue and your theory to disable DHCP won't restoration it.
