feels like your DSL modem replaced into reset to production unit settings. some information superhighway companies use a username/password scheme (that is so annoying when you consider that cable provider companies did not attempt this). In a DSL setup, in case you probably did not have a prompt router, the DSL modem would assign an IP address on your pc and the modem itself would have an IP address of 192.168.a million.a million. The DSL modem may also provide an selection to logon to the provider companies community with a username and password. as a thanks to apply a prompt router you may configure the DSL router to act as a bridge. This disables the DHCP function of the modem that would typically assign an IP address on your pc. If also disables the logon function for the modem. those 2 purposes are picked up through your prompt router. What you may do is contact your provider service for suggestion in configuring both the DSL modem and the prompt router. you gained't could do some thing with the prompt router. DSL modems and prompt routers all use 192.168.a million.a million for his or her software information superhighway website. even as the DSL router is configured as a bridge, get proper of entry to to its software web page is disabled. If the bridge selection isn't chosen your pc connects to 192.168.a million.a million on the DSL modem extremely of your prompt router.
