Ok, I have heard all the different kinds of cry outs on xp and vista in the same network. My situation maybe a little different.

PC1 is the XP Desktop. It has the router and the modem connected to it. Plus it has the printer connected to it with USB.

PC2 is the Vista Desktop. It is connected to the router wireless. I believe I can install the drivers for the PC1's printer.

PC3 is the Vista Laptop. It is also connected to the router wireless.
I think the last time I tried to install the drivers for the printer, It did not allow me, I don't remember.

THE PROBLEM:
I set up PC1 with the workgroup name (EX) BALBOANET.
Then I went to the other two pc's and did the same thing.
I restarted them all, then I took a look at all three workgroup windows.
RESULT? All three pc's showed up on all windows.
For some reason vista laptop was able to enter in xp desktop and also vista desktop, Vista desktop was not able to go into vista laptop but was able to go into xp desktop, and xp desktop was able to go into vista laptop but not vista desktop.

WHAT THE HELL? I just don't get how some were able to but not the rest.
I am pretty sure That this can be resolved but I just don't know.

PLEASE HELP!

I remember there being something with the administrator account needing the same password on all computers involved for this to work. try changing the admin password to be the same on all 3 and see if that works. otherwise check this out...
