The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification shows clients and employers that you are skilled in designing, implementing, and administering infrastructures for business solutions based on Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft Windows 2000 Server. Implementation responsibilities include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network systems.
You can learn more about the Cert from http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/mcse.aspx
And if your new to Microsoft Certification Join the blog http://bit.ly/mslblog to learn more about the Certifications.

You won't necessarily be offered jobs just for having the certificate but the MCSE cert is a specialized Windows networking certification that deals with the design, implementation and support of Active Directory based domain networks.
Technologies covered range from DNS, DHCP, WINS and RRAS to PK infrastructures, IAS (Radius) among others, but all are the Windows NT/2k/2k3 implementations.
Before undertaking the MCSE cert though, you'd do well to check the MS education pages as from Server 2008 onwards, there will no longer be an MCSE certificate, this has been superceded by the MCITP range.
I believe you can still take MCSE on 2003 but you'd need to double check that.
The sort of jobs you'd be looking at with MCSE certificate and experience are circa 3rd line Wintel support, Wintel administration and Wintel systems architecture.

I will tell you MCSE briefly. In Infrastructure management services has two categories.one is system administration and next is network administration.system administration deals with the operating system( windows and linux and so on) .the latter deals with the devices such as router, switch and so on.MCSE is certificate given by microsoft . It consists of 7 papers.RHCE for linux.CCNA for network administration given by cisco.if u complete 4 paper(2 server,1 client,1 elective).you will be certified as MCSA..if u pass any one then MCP.jobs will for both it and non it companies.if u complete all the three you will definitely get job without your btech certificate.ALL THE BEST
