the router should network them automatically.

any files you want to share just right click the folder and select sharing, vista and XP dont like to share files very easily. so i suggest you google it.

Windows XP and vista

sharing files

Step 1:Click Start, then Control Panel.

Step 2: Double-click Network Connections and look for Network Tasks.

Step 3:Select Set up a home or small office network to run the networking wizard.

Step 4:Select This computer connects to the Internet through a residential gateway or through another computer on my network then click Next.

Step 5:Once the wizard is finished, you'll have to make a floppy disk that you'll run on the other computers on the network to set them up.

Step 6:Restart the computers. You should now be able to share files

Your router should auto connect your wired computers, for wireless if your router has security enabled you will need to set the pass code. There is no easy step by step I can type since I dont know your router that well. Things you need to know for wireless.

1) passcode, you should be able to browse to your router with the info that came with your router.

2) make sure your security is on so no one else can use your network without you knowing about it

3) Make sure you have file sharing and printer sharing enabled on both computers.

4) Last step would be to have your wireless computer see if it sees your router and then connect to it with security on it should ask you for your passcode you looked up earlier.

There are distinct techniques. you've a community printer which you connect by utilizing cable on your HomeHub. Then your prompt pc will discover the printer. or you've a prompt printer that's a little extra problematical to establish. or you are able to connect your printer to a computer computing device and then get admission to that printer out of your prompt pc. however the laptop must be switched on for this.
