Trying to get new domain PCs to pick up group policy, not working. Why?

Any PC on our domain that gets rebuilt loses the GPO policy. I know how to update this from the command line via the below command:\

gpupdate /force

The update states it is successful but the policy is not displaying signs that it has been updated (primarily a screensaver auto lock feature 10 minutes of idle time).

When I check the current policy from the command line, it states it has picked up the current policy and that the policy was last updated today. yet, the features of the policy are not working on the client work station.

Any thoughts on this?

Most likely you have an issue with the Group Policy itself. Run RSOP using the context of the computer name and the logged-in user. The error will be immediately apparent about 99% of the time.

Check the policies properly on Domain controller. May be organizational unit issue.

It sounds like the PC is not in the proper OU.
