Try updating it first. Go to a terminal (command line) window and type:

sudo apt-get update

It will then ask for your password. Enter it. It will then update its "sources" list. When that process is done, enter the command :

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

which will update everything that needs updating. You can do the same thing with a GUI tool if you wish, but for the first pass, the command line is a better choice.

You might also try Pinguy OS instead: http://Pinguy-OS.sf.net

It's based on an updated Ubuntu 11.04, but comes with a BUNCH of useful software and sources pre-installed, including some stuff that's fairly tricky to install. It's what I'm using right now. The commands above still apply.

Like it's been said, Update it. What bugs are you referring too? I've installed 11.04 for a couple people and there's been no issues. I personally run 10.04 because I only run LTS releases but still haven't seen and real issues with 11.04.

If you believe it's actual a bug your dealing with submit it to the bugtracker

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu

I would strongly suggest edited your question to tell us exactly WHAT your referring to, People new to Linux or some distro's cry bug, when there's nothing wrong.

11.04 Ubuntu still has some issues. But its close. Try updates-

I recommend you stay away from a new release at least 3 months, maybe 4. Its just barely 2 months old now. It will work out eventually, if you can wait.

10.10 is good and so is 10.04.

If may be good for you to drop down to 10.10.

Bugs are normal but they can get fixed or patched up when you update your OS from the System > Administration > Update Manager. Updates may not come immediately but they do in a short while after a fix have been found.

unusual situation description, guy. Reads such as you have advised the computing device to look in the incorrect place for the java linux rpm? Or are you working domicile windows? The rpm is a compressed library of stuff for Linux, no longer domicile windows. Take some deep breaths, take a destroy, study some training approximately installation, then initiate sparkling.
